Content Policy & Disclosure Policy of BLACKBEAR AI

BLACKBEAR AI is a web application by 1099 Systems Inc. that uses Artificial Intelligence ("GPT-3") to help improve the productivity of authors, copywriters and entrepreneurs. By using BLACKBEAR AI, you agree to the content and disclosure policy outlined below, as well as our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

DISCLOSURE POLICY: When using AI, it is important for transparency to portray to your users that content was co-written with the help of Artificial Intelligence. Creators who wish to publish their first-party written content (e.g., a book, compendium of short stories, articles, etc.) created in part with BLACKBEAR AI are permitted to do so under the following conditions:

- The published content is attributed to your name or company.

- The role of AI in formulating the content is clearly disclosed in a way that no reader could possibly miss, and that a typical reader would find sufficiently easy to understand.

- Topics of the content do not violate our Content Policy or Terms of Use, e.g., are not related to political campaigns, adult content, spam, hateful content, content that incites violence, or other uses that may cause social harm. See below for examples.

- We kindly ask that you refrain from sharing outputs that may offend others.

For instance, one must detail in a Foreword or Introduction (or some place similar) the relative roles of drafting, editing, etc. Users should not represent AI-generated content as being wholly generated by a human or wholly generated by an AI, and it is a human who must take ultimate responsibility for the content being published. Here is some stock language you may use to describe your creative process, provided it is accurate:

“The author co-authored this text in part with Artificial Intelligence. Upon generating draft language, the author reviewed, edited, and revised the language to their own liking and takes ultimate responsibility for the content of this publication.”

CONTENT POLICY: We strictly prohibit users from knowingly generating—or allowing others to knowingly generate—the following categories of content:

Hate: content that expresses, incites, or promotes hate based on identity.
Harassment:
content that intends to harass, threaten, or bully an individual.
Violence:
content that promotes or glorifies violence or celebrates the suffering or humiliation of others.
Self-harm: content that promotes, encourages, or depicts acts of self-harm, such as suicide, cutting, and eating disorders.
Sexual: content meant to arouse sexual excitement, such as the description of sexual activity, or that promotes sexual services (excluding sex education and wellness).
Political: content attempting to influence the political process or to be used for campaigning purposes.
Spam: unsolicited bulk content.
Deception: content that is false or misleading, such as attempting to defraud individuals or spread disinformation.
Malware: content that attempts to generate ransomware, keyloggers, viruses, or other software intended to impose some level of harm.

Through use of BLACKBEAR AI, you agree that you will make reasonable efforts to reduce the likelihood, severity, and scale of any societal harm caused by your use of the platform (including the use and sharing of Generated Content) by following the usage guidelines. BLACKBEAR AI and/or OpenAI may request information from you regarding your efforts to reduce safety risks, and you agree to provide such information.  These policies are derived directly from the usage guidelines posted by our API partners at OpenAI. As per our privacy policy, such information may be used to assess compliance with these Terms of Use, our content policy, and/or to inform improvements to any components of our API provider or platform.
